Description

Background Information on Image Subject

The mosaic mural in the center of the Municipal Auditorium's arched façade was added in 1938 as part of a New Deal era Works Progress Administration project. The auditorium was demolished in 1975, but the mural was preserved.

And here's where it is today, on the south side of the former Long Beach Plaza parking structure, now part of the City Place Shopping Center:
